Privacy Policy

What we collect

Discover Anna is a public directory. We collect only what you give us directly:

• Business submissions. When you submit a business, we store the name, description, category, contact details, and your email address. Your email is used for review questions and is not shown publicly.
• Profile claims. When you claim a business profile, we store your name, email, role, and verification note. This information is used to confirm ownership and grant you management access.
• Account sign-up. Creating an account stores your name and email. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
• Chat feedback. Feedback shared through chat is submitted to FeedbackBasket with recent chat context. This data is stored by FeedbackBasket and accessible to Discover Anna administrators.
• Anonymous activity. We record anonymous page views and action clicks on directory listing pages. No personal identity is attached to these events.

How we use it

• Reviewing and moderating business submissions and claims.
• Granting profile ownership to verified business owners.
• Showing anonymous activity metrics to profile owners who upgrade.
• Improving the directory based on feedback and usage patterns.

Third-party services

• FeedbackBasket. Feedback submissions are processed and stored by FeedbackBasket.
• Better Auth. Authentication uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. No tracking or advertising cookies are set.

Cookies and local storage

We set strictly necessary auth cookies so account holders can sign in and claim profiles. We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies.

Data retention

Submitted and claimed business data remains in the directory until you request removal. Feedback submissions are retained per FeedbackBasket's policies. Anonymous activity data is retained indefinitely in aggregate and is not tied to any person.
